BACK TO BASICS: Techniques for Maintaining a Healthy Spine and Back
Our backs are well designed but gravity, chairs, and stress all take their toll. In this workshop Julia will discuss simple ways to protect your back in your daily life, and she will teach you stretches to relieve tension commonly held in your neck, shoulders, and lower back. Since 80% of back pain is muscular, integrating these stretches into your daily life will diminish back pain.
Julia will teach you principles of alignment and lead you in yoga poses to reinforce those principles. She will address various back ailments, such as herniated disks and osteoporosis.
