MUDRAS: A workshop for yoga teachers
Saturday, November 4, 2:00-4:00
Mudras are gestures of hands (sometimes including body) that enable us to tune into specific energetic frequencies. In Sanskrit mud means “delight” and dru means “to bring forth”. In this workshop for yoga teachers, Julia will provide an overview of mudras --gestures of hands that enable us to tune into specific energetic frequencies --and she will explain how they work. She will share with you how she incorporates mudras into her yoga classes and workshops, and how she uses them in private sessions. In addition, Julia will teach you how to use mudras for self-care, to nourish yourself so that you can help others. 2 Yoga Alliance Contact CEUs |
“It was so helpful to practice the Mudras with Julia. She provided excellent background on the purpose of each Mudra, and we were able to experience the appropriate placement of fingers and hands. “We learned a great deal about Mudras and came away with excellent handouts to help us easily select one or more for various classes we will be teaching. Julia’s teaching style was thorough and supportive. We also had chance to practice teaching Mudras to each other. Time was well spent!” --Jo Ann Dow-Breslin, Wanaque, NJ |
